Strasburg Film Festival to host ‘Oblivion’

Iranian short film ‘Oblivion’ is to attend the Int'l Strasburg Film Festival in the US.

Iranian acclaimed short film ‘Oblivion’ has been scheduled to attend the International Strasburg Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Fatemeh Mohammadi, the 15-minute short will be screening at the second edition of the American film event.

The film portrays the attempts of a woman to make her senile husband’s life worth living. Their children are away and reasons to live are failing them.

A brief synopsis for ‘Oblivion’ reads, “Old people are passed into oblivion when their loved ones forget about them.”

Maryam Boubani, ifilm star of ‘Warm Breath’ and ‘The Green Journey’ star Mohsen Qazi-Moradi bring to life the two main roles of the flick.

According to the event website, the Strasburg Film Festival is a 3-day program showcasing the best of films from all over the world.

The festival looks for to find some works of art of variety of themes and topics that may not be found at commercialized theatres yet are magnificent artistic creations. 

The latest edition of the festival is slated for November 15-17, 2019.
